Gallery – Bourton Lock and Cottage

Bourton Lock was one of two on the Buckingham Arm, sitting at the North Eastern end of what is now known as Bourton Meadow. Adjacent to the lock was a cottage that used to be the home of an employee of the canal company. The cottage was transferred to private ownership a long time ago. The lock itself was present until the late 1980’s when it was in-filled. Over the years the lock cottage has been extended and modernised several times.
