The Buckingham Navigator – Issue 121 Summer 2025

I’m pleased to inform you that The Buckingham Navigator – Issue 121 Summer 2025 is now available to view or download from the newsletter page.

As well as our regular features, this issue also includes:

  • Our corporate volunteer group attendances for 2024 break all previous records, beams our Work Party Organiser Athina Beckett.
  • Clear you diaries for our annual Cosgrove Canal Festival & Craft Fair. Full details from the Festival Team inside. It’s promising to be the best yet!
  • Steve Morley explains the unexpected difficulties in transporting and handing over our workboat Perseverance to Essex Waterways Limited, her new owners.
  • New recruit Cameren Birch-Ghose highlights how canal restoration can and will aid in tackling the rising threat of urban flooding, and draws our attention to how our Society, like many other similar canal restoration groups, can play its part.
  • Terry Cavender hails the Waterway Recovery Group Forestry team’s 2024 Christmas Camp event as another success, especially when you see the huge amount of work undertaken to make safe and remove several large ailing trees.
