We are pleased to inform you that The Buckingham Navigator – Issue 107 Spring 2021 is now available to view or download from the newsletter page.

As well as our regular features, this issue also includes:

  • Terry and Athina explain about the progress made so far during in the current lockdown, and discuss what is next for our project sites as restrictions are due to be gradually eased.
  • After winning the IWA Christopher Power Prize, Athina tells the story of her astonishing body of volunteer work which has led her to winning this well deserved award.
  • As promised in the last issue, I wrap up last year’s series of wildlife reports which indicate there were further breeding successes at Bourton Meadow for 2020, building on an already productive year in 2019.
  • Alan investigates the historical impact of reeds on our canal over the last 113 years.
  • Aimee talks about the increasing sightings of Water Voles and Otters at our Bourton Meadow and Hyde Lane sites, and the measures proposed to try and track and observe them.
