Hyde Lane

Over the past few weeks, some of the trustees have met with Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust (BBOWT) who lease the Hyde Lane site to us. We are pleased to report that BBOWT have agreed the exact work we can do edge the towpath, build the bunds (dams) at each end and re-water the canal at this section.

Work is now progressing to confirm the WREN grant for this site and schedule the work for the late spring. This will include oak edging for the path where needed and woodland grass mix along the re levelled path through the nature reserve.

Once filled, the canal will be kept topped up with another solar powered pump similar to the one due to be installed at Bourton Meadow in early spring.
