Cosgrove Canal Festival & Craft Fair

A Big Thank You to everyone who helped make the 2025 Cosgrove Canal Festival & Craft Fair a great success. It was wonderful to see so many returning traders along with some new faces.

We are please to confirm that the Cosgrove Canal Festival & Craft Fair will again be taking place this year, 2026. It will be held over the weekend of 18th-19th July.

Booking forms for Boat and Towpath stall traders are now available. Please email us at events@buckinghamcanal.org.uk if you would like to receive one or would like any further information.

We’re delighted this year to welcome all-electric 12-seater MK Community Trip Boat Electra. Electra will run 40-minute trips from Cosgrove Lock over the Iron Trunk Aqueduct to the Galleon Wharf and back. Get spectacular views of the valley below! Five trips each day, leaving at 10.30, 11.45, 13.00, 14.15, and 15.30. Tickets £8 adult, £3.50 child (card only payment) –walk up on the day and book in at their stand. The Cosgrove Canal Festival & Craft Fair is run each year by the Society to raise money for the restoration of the Buckingham Canal between Cosgrove and Buckingham and to spread the word about our work. Members from the Society will be there for you to chat to about their plans for the canal and you can discover which sections we are currently working on. With so much happening over the last few months, especially with the completion of Cosgroves’ Bridge No.1, the opening of the first section of restored canal past the bridge and plans to excavate Bridge 2, there certainly will be a lot to talk about!

Throughout the whole festival weekend you will find many historic and trade boats, craft and games stalls, plenty of entertainment and refreshments, and so much more. The event is full of fun for the whole family and is set primarily alongside the picturesque towpath between the lock at Cosgrove and the recently refurbished Iron Trunk Aqueduct. The Craft Fair is held in the nearby Cosgrove Village Hall, only a short walk from the canal.

Please note that space for car parking within Cosgrove village is very limited. Any parking should be considerate to the people who live there. Some special parking may be made available on the day: Watch out for signs. If you don’t mind a short walk up the canal there are also limited spaces available on Old Wolverton Road, Wolverton.
