Canal Heritage open day

Come and see the culmination of 21 years of work by Buckingham Canal Society to restore part of the canal to Buckingham which

2013 has seen major activity at the Buckingham end of the canal as it has undergone re-lining. It now holds water for the first time in nearly 100 years! Members of the team will be on hand on the day to explain all of the benefits restoration brings as you tour one of their four active restoration sites.

Displays will be on site including maps of the area showing the historic canal, archive material and photos of restoration work being carried out.
