The Buckingham Navigator – Issue 104 Summer 2020
We are pleased to inform you that The Buckingham Navigator – Issue 104 Summer 2020 is now available to view or download from the newsletter page.
As well as our regular features, this issue also includes:
- Athina and Terry discuss how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected work on our canal, and tell us that minor work and safety checks have had to continue regardless.
- We hold what was possibly the world’s fastest and slickest ever AGM!
- Terry reports that very sadly, Solomon’s Bridge at Cosgrove has been severely damaged by yet another vehicle.
- I kick off the wildlife calendar with a newly expanded and more permanent seasonal Wildlife Report, packed with photos, and with a little insight of what I’ve seen in my area, aswell as that of Bourton Meadow. There’s even the usual trivia included.
- Alan and Athina explore the history of the original canal crossing at Old Stratford, and pose the age old question as to whether it is a tunnel, or a bridge.
