News – If you wish to find out the most up to date progress on restoring the Buckingham Canal or want to browse our work and events over the past few years then this is the place for you.
Work Parties – Buckingham Canal Society runs work parties on alternate Thursdays and every second Sunday of the month throughout the whole year on four sites along the disused Buckingham Canal. The aim of these work parties is to restore and preserve the canal.
Socials – Our regular get together is on the 3rd Friday of each month (except December) for a regular social and open topic discussion about the canal restoration progress. The venue is the Two Brewers pub, Thornborough. Other socials happen during the year and details will appear here.
Newsletter – Buckingham Canal Society publishes a quarterly newsletter called “The Buckingham Navigator” with news about our progress on the restoration of the Buckingham Canal. It also contains information about events, work parties and delves into the canal’s long history.
Events – Annual Cosgrove Canal Festival & Craft Fair – The Society organises an annual summer festival at Cosgrove, with a rally of boats, stalls and games for all the family, that now features a Craft Fair. There are also a number of other events during the year that we arrange or are involved in.
