Dear Sir/
In continuation of our letter of the 29th/; ulto: We should be much obliged if you could call in us if you are likely to be in Town as we should like, before advising you to get further particulars of your title.
If you were to call we could show you the Act of Parliament which was passed to enable the Canal to be made which undoubtedly contains some reference to the Thornton Hall Estate and which would be of assistance to you.
We are, Dear Sir,
Yours faithfully
Hores, Pattison Bathurst.

Dear Sir/
We are in receipt of your letter.
We have already seen the secretary of the company and claimed on your behalf the fishing in that part of the Canal passing through the Thorton Hall Estate under the statute which we showed to you. We think the Canal Coy may require to be satisfied that the fishing was reserved out of the conveyance to them
Yours faithfully
Hores, Pattison Bathurst.

Dear Sir/
We have today heard from the Grand Junction Canal that the Company do not claim the fishing in the canal adjoining Thornton Hall Estate and that they intended their letter of the 10th Inst to convey this.
This so far is quite satisfactory but we have not yet communicated with Mr/ Roberts who claimed to have fishing rights in the canal.
Do you wish us to write to him?
We are, Dear Sir,
Yours faithfully
Hores, Pattison Bathurst.

Dear Sir/
We beg to acknowledge receipt of your letter of the 28th./inst
When we saw the Secretary of the Canal Coy we understood he wished to see your title deeds to the fishing in the canal and you will recollect you arranged to look into these and let us hear from you.
However we will again write to the secretary and see whether he will dispense this.
We are much obliged to you for giving our names to Mr Hall.
We are, Dear Sir,
Yours faithfully
Hores, Pattison Bathurst.

Dear Sir/
Mr Roberts has returned the draft agreement approved. In his letter he states “I should esteem it a great favour if you could obtain the consent of Mr H.W. Harris to insert a clause allowing me to take one friend. The fishing is nearly 3 miles from my Home. Being 67 I should not care to go alone in case the members of my family happened to be away. I am sure Mr H.W.Harris will grant me that permission.”
Will you kindly inform us if you are willing to concede to Mr./ Roberts request.
We are, Dear Sir,
yours faithfully
Hores, Pattison Bathurst.
