(The Cheese and wine are free although we do ask for a donation to cover the cost !!)

7.15 pm, Saturday 1st February 2014,

Community Centre, Cornwalls Meadow, Buckingham

All interested parties are very welcome to attend, but only current members are entitled to vote.  Nominations for the committee, or matters which you wish to be put before the meeting, should be submitted to the Chairman, Athina Beckett, by Saturday 18th January 2014. Nomination forms are available from the Chairman. Copies of the minutes of the last AGM will be available at the meeting or in advance by application to the Chairman.

1.  Chairman’s introduction

2.  To receive apologies for absence

3.  To confirm the minutes of the AGM held on 26th January 2013 [copies will be available at the meeting or in advance by application to the Chairman]

4.  Matters arising from the minutes

5.  To receive a report from the Chairman

6.  To receive a report from the Treasurer including presentation of the accounts for the year ending 30th November 2013

7.  To adopt the accounts for the year ending 30th November 2013

8.  To receive a report from the Work Party Project Management Group

10.To consider the Resolution to:

a)    Establish and register the Buckingham Canal Society as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation

b)    Dissolve Buckingham Canal Society as an unincorporated charity

c)    Adopt the revised constitution

d)    Transfer all existing operations and assets to the new entity

11. Election of officers and members to serve on the Executive Committee from the conclusion of the Annual General Meeting 1st February 2014, to the conclusion of the Annual General Meeting 2015:

a)  Election of Chairman

c)  Election of Secretary

d)  Election of other Committee Members.

12. Subscription rates for the year to January 2015.

15. Chairman’s closing remarks

Following an interval for refreshments. the evening will conclude with a presentation by Trustees of the Society, who will give an illustrated talk entitled:

“Buckingham Canal: Building Tomorrow’s Heritage”

The talk will encompass the Bourton Meadow Project and the Society’s vision for the future
